What Sets KC Sign & Awnings’ Carved Signs Apart from the Competition?
Durable Materials
While carved signs are traditionally made from wood, we recommend High-Density Urethane (HDU) as an alternative. Most of KC Sign & Awnings’ carved signs are made from HDU. Unlike wood, HDU is a material that will never rot, bow, crack, or deteriorate. However, we can also create wooden carved signs! We use cedar for our signs because it has a higher natural resistance to rot and insects than many other types of wood.
High Quality Paint
The way your carved sign is painted is also key to the longevity of its finish. Unlike many sign shops, KC Sign & Awnings has invested in an industrial sign painting system. We paint our signs in a spray booth using Matthews Acrylic Polyurethanes and apply several coats of both primer and finish coats to guarantee a quality finish that will last. While other sign companies may use lower-quality store-bought paints, we take the time to give your sign a professional finish you can take pride in. As a result, our signs can last 15-20 years, whereas lower-quality paint will fade in fewer than 10 years.
